In the Heart of the Sea Reflection

I did not enjoy reading In the Heart of the Sea by Thomas Philbrick because the characters didn't develop by the end of the book. Reading for pleasure is different from reading an assigned book because if I don't like the pleasure book, I can stop reading it. I have to read an assigned book because if I don't, I will fail the class. I read the book, and it was very difficult to make connections because I do not like to read sea venturing novels.
