In the Heart of the Sea
I did enjoy reading the book In the Heart of the Sea, by Nathaniel Philbrick . The plot of the book was very interesting and kept me going back and continue reading. One part of the book that I didn't expect was the action. I didn't think there would have been as much action as there was and thats what kept me wanting to read more. I also enjoyed the personality of all the characters and how they reacted while on there journey. I really liked this book and would recommend it for others.
This pleasure reading assignment was much better then assigned reading book because I don't feel like I need to finish at a certain time. I feel that reading a book in class you are forced to read and some night are really just not the night that you want to read. While if I'm reading a pleasure reading book and I don't feel like reading its not a big deal for me and its not something I need to worry about. While reading the assigned books in class I didn't take the time to read my pleasure book but i was able to make up for it on the weekends and after the assigned book was finished.
I feel that I did really well with keeping up with the reading and not having to cram in the whole book in the weekend before it was do. I didn't really have a schedule of when I should read the book but I had a Idea of where i had to be at certain times to be caught up in the book. One thing I need to work on was Identify the theme. I need to work on that because at some points in the book it did get confusing and I had to figure out what that part meant. Even though I was able to figure it out it would of been easier a and more fluent if I was able to identify the theme.
