A Long Way Gone

I choose the book A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah because "everybody else" in the class "wanted" to read the book In the Heart of the Sea .  However, besides my original pick being that, I think I'll like this book because it is nonfiction, and is a current conflict that will help me better understand present events and situations going on.  I'm excited for the book because it has good reviews and rep from peers of mine and of the other person reading this in the class Ryan (the Baller) Mennit.
