I'm reading In the Heart of the Sea, by Nathaniel Philbrick, and I think that it has very good potential. At the moment, it is not very interesting, only because they are just setting up the story, but I feel like it will eventually get very interesting. Once there is some action, I think it will be very interesting. The main characters are Thomas Nickerson, George Pollard Jr., and Owen Chase. Thomas Nickerson seems to be the main character of the overall book so far. The plot so far is that these 14 to 18 year old kids who are from Nantucket. They are getting ready to go on a whaling voyage on this very old and small book called The Essex. I have noticed that the book is told from the Narrator's point of view. The structure seems to be from the future when they come back from this long voyage. It is telling an old story. I really like this book and it is going to be a great read.
