I chose the book “ In the Heart of the Sea” by Nathaniel Philbrick because I’ve always loved survival shows like Bear Grylls Man Vs. Wild and Dual survivor, so I thought I would definitely enjoy a book about several whalers surviving for days in the middle of the ocean. Furthermore, reading the back of the book's description informed me about the three month journey and that the eight that survived had to eat the bodies of fellow dead shipmates, which really had me interested in the book.
