Chapter One "In the Heart of the Sea"-Andrew Cronin

So far "In the Heart of the Sea" by Nathaniel Philbrick is a decent book. The characters mentioned so far are Owen Chase, George Pollard Jr. and Thomas Nickerson, who are all apart of the same crew on the Essex, a whaling ship. Thomas seems to be the main main character, for the first chapter starts off with the narrator talking about him seeing the Essex for the first time as a child, then being apart of the ship's crew years later. The book is in third person. The author talks about the characters and their experiences. I think that this book will only get better, for it started off slow only because the author had to introduce the characters.
