In the Heart of the Sea

The story the Heart of the Sea, by Nathaniel Philbrick is a book that starts off very slow in my mind, but I still remain optimistic as I venture farther into the novel. The 3 main characters in the book sofa are George Pollard, Thomas Nickerson and Owen Chase. Right now where I am at, the 3 characters, who are all from Nantucket, are preparing to go on a whaling boat called The Essex in the year 1819. This is Thomas Nickerson's 1st time aboard a whaling ship, but he has in fact prepared himself for it. I do not know much about their voyage yet, but as the plot builds up I will gain more knowledge. From the author's writing style, I have noticed that the book is told from the narrators point of view.
